Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-focused Vehicle Valeter to clean and sanitise milk floats and delivery vehicles to a high standard. This role is essential to maintaining food hygiene standards, vehicle presentation, and safe daily operation within our milk delivery business.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise milk floats and delivery vehicles externally and internally
• Wash vehicle bodies, wheels, and chassis to remove dirt, milk residue, and road grime
• Clean driver cabs, including floors, seats, dashboards, and controls
• Disinfect food-contact and loading areas in line with food hygiene standards
• Ensure vehicles meet cleanliness and hygiene requirements before daily deliveries
• Inspect vehicles for damage, leaks, or defects and report issues to management
• Safely move and park vehicles in the yard or depot as required
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
• Maintain cleaning equipment and keep wash areas clean and organised

Skills and Experience Required

• Previous vehicle valeting, commercial cleaning, or similar experience (preferred)
• Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and detail
• Ability to follow hygiene and safety procedures consistently
• Good timekeeping and ability to work to early-morning schedules
• Ability to work independently as part of a depot team

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Physically fit for manual work, including bending, lifting, and standing

Knowledge & Compliance

• Understanding of basic food hygiene and cleanliness standards (training provided)
• Awareness of health and safety procedures on operating yards and depots
• Commitment to maintaining high standards required in food distribution
